I like to make seasonal "i want" lists. Being the frugal lady I am, they’re never extravagant, and I try to allow myself just one thing off of them each time. Whatsmore, with a wedding in the works and no overtime allowed at work, this one is all $20 and less!
I love, love, love the summertime. This is my second one spent here in NYC, so I’m longing a bit for the days of my youth lounging at the pool, riding around with the windows down and of course central air conditioning at the expense of dear ol’ Mom. These things make me feel cool and summery anytime.
Here it is, the perfect blue paint for my livingroom. Now, I can pretend I'm floating on my back in the Caribbean instead of swimming in my sweat in my tiny apartment. Ahhhh...

Crucial for summertime is ICEPOPS! Who doesn't love icepops? Especially homemade. Crush up your berries, watermelon, add in some cream, sugar, cola, chocolate soy milk, mint, etc. etc. Go nuts. &Cool down. We use these pretty babies from target.
Finally, for me, I find it's beyond necessary to carry around water with me, especially when I'm stuck underground and my face is seemingly melting into my neck. Enter, adorable,nautical-themed, reusable water bottle from Patina Stores, one of my favorite kitschy websites.
I’ve been surviving mostly on iced tea, as it is the most refreshing summertime beverage I can think of. I add in fresh strawberries, basil, mint, lime, or whatever is in my fruit bowl at the moment. It’s also fun to mix and match tea bags, I like about six black to one herbal thrown in. Yum!
