Mid-September

See ya, summer. This is how it always goes. Summer is happening, I'm beaching, I'm tank-topping, I'm all golden and swarthy looking then all of a sudden I'm hiking up my tights and squeezing my stretched out flip flop feet into real shoes. Not that I'm not excited about fall, but I'd like some fair warning for once.

This summer was a good one. I worked a lot but not too too much. I saw all my friends, upstate and down. I left home for the majority of weekends, long and short. I vacationed at least once, which is all I need. I stayed active and healthy and sampled every local ground-growing delicacy I could. I'm sad to see you go, Summer, but I'm satisfied. I'm ready for possibly the busiest and biggest autumn of my lifetime. Eep!

  1. Beautiful farewell. The transition is a little bittersweet, but grateful for what is to come.

  4. Nothing will make you feel better about summer leaving than a busy fall.
