When you have to take off work to watch a puppy not fall off of the furniture or when you have to go through your cell phone and see if someone else can do it for you. Since we're scraping by as it is, I pay in cookies and pizza (and hugs!).
My favorite cookie recipe is the peanut butter cookies in La Dolce Vegan. I can't remember what it's called, but it's the one that's not wolfie's (the ones with earth balance, not oil). I'm sure the others are just as good, but I've always made these, so much, in fact that I've memorized the recipe. They're delicious and take maybe ten minutes to get in the oven. I also did a batch of the chocolate chip coconut cookies, to make sure everyone's tastes were covered. I saved a couple of the PB's and put some jam in the middle, because husband goes crazy for anything resembling a PB&J. I won't lie... I do, too.
