mini-moon

Last weekend, husband and I celebrated our very first wedding anniversary.

I will spare you the gross-out gushing of how lucky I am to have had the pleasure of one year of sheer wedded bliss, however, I will gladly regale you with the story of our mini-moon.

As some of you know, for our honeymoon we took a roadtrip across the country from new york, down south, across the desert and ended up in San Francisco. It was nothing short of heaven for us; tasting regional delicacies, experiencing the endless bounty and beauty of our country and sleeping in big, beautiful hotel beds. To commemorate a year after, we decided a weekend trip to somewhere neither of us has been was in order. We ended up in the Berkshire Mountains. Holy Moly! How have I lived so close to such an amazing region my entire life and never visited?

We ate some of the freshest meat and veggies, raised and grown locally all over the region. We climbed to the tippy top of freezing mountains. We met beautiful, kind people and most importantly, we stayed in a room, on a lake, with a fireplace. Anyone interested in visiting the region, let me know and I will gladly lead you in the best directions!
