in just a couple months i went from 0 to 60. we moved; to a seaside town on long island, minutes from the beach, surrounded by the most romantically tree lined streets and victorian palaces. people you don't even know wave hello and say good morning to you. the sun setting sounds like a million different birds and bugs and children kicking balls around and riding bicycles. the night time sounds like silence...with the windows open.
we have TWO bedrooms (one is empty, i assure you) a back yard, which i'm planning a vegetable garden for ASAP, a kitchen that still makes me tear up when i see it and a… get ready… LAUNDRY ROOM. an entire room with a door on it, just for doing laundry and containing it. what? whose life is this?
my husband has a new job - he's thrilled and excited and using his creative noodle again. i have enrolled in nutrition school, one that i've thought about and obsessed over since around 2009 when i visited the offices. at the culmination i'll become a holistic health coach and hopefully start my own practice doing meaningful, happy work every day forever.
the past year has been a journey. a rough, scary, challenging and ultimately insanely rewarding one. i've learned a lot about myself; my limits, my willpower, my strength. i hope i can share these with you and keep growing. stay tuned for pt. II of this big chunky scary change.
